OXY Serious about the Bakken

Occidental Petroleum’s first concerns in the Bakken are  environmental safety, the safety of their
workers and the communities they serve.   Oxy’s assets in North Dakota encompass over
200,000 net acres. Oxy entered the Williston Basin Bakken Formation in 2009. In
December 2010, adding to its existing assets in the Williston Basin, Oxy
purchased an additional  180,000 net acres
that produce from the Bakken Formation and are also prospective in the Three
Forks Formation. These newly acquired assets give Oxy net risked reserve
potential in excess of 250 million barrels of Oil.  Based on Oxy’s current position, they  expect to grow Oxy’s production in the
Williston Basin to at least 30,000 barrels of oil  per day by 2017. The Bakken Energy Service
Team wants to be a part of their growing success.
